What these technologies do
Cookies are small values saved by your browser and sent with requests. Local storage stays in the browser and is read by the app. Both can remember information between visits. This page covers the current Living Nomad app, not every cookie used on websites you visit through a link.
Sign-in cookies
Supabase authentication cookies (normally named sb-…-auth-token, sometimes split into numbered parts, and a temporary code-verifier during sign-in) maintain and refresh your signed-in session and complete authentication. Their lifetime depends on the session and provider configuration. They are used to deliver account access you request, not advertising. Signing out clears the active app session; you can also remove site data in your browser.
Playback preferences
The app stores a resume position in local storage under living-nomad:progress:<film-id>:v1 to let you continue watching. It remains until replaced or browser site data is cleared. Signed-in viewing progress and My List are also held with your account so they can work across sessions. Clearing local storage does not delete those account records; contact us for an account-data request.
Payments and linked services
Checkout and billing management take place on Stripe-hosted pages. Stripe may use cookies or similar technologies there for payment processing, security and fraud prevention under its own notices. The Living Nomad app does not load advertising pixels. Google Analytics is optional and only loads after you choose to allow analytics. External sites, including YouTube if you choose to visit, have their own policies.
Your control
You can block or delete cookies and site data in your browser settings. Blocking authentication storage can prevent sign-in; clearing playback storage removes the local resume point. We use the storage described above to provide requested account and playback features. Optional Google Analytics only runs after you choose Allow analytics. Your analytics choice is stored in local storage so we can remember it. You can clear site data in your browser to reset that choice. Questions: hello@thelivingnomad.com.
